Steven Maschmeyer, MS, CMTPT, LMT, ASCP (CAP)

Steve Maschmeyer is an internationally recognized soft-tissue and Myofascial Trigger Point therapist. In 2012, he founded Indy Myopain Relief Center. Our mission is to provide myofascial trigger point therapy services to all people with pain and muscle dysfunction. We integrate with medical practitioners, clinics and hospitals, medical practices, naturopaths, chiropractors, dentists, pharmacists, yoga and palates instructors, physical trainers, physical therapists and the public.

Since 2013, Steve has built the expertise and reputation of Indy Myopain Relief Center as the only practice in the greater Indianapolis area, exclusively focused on the rehabilitation of soft-tissue pain and muscle dysfunction.

Credentials.

In 1970, Steve earned his bachelor's degree in biology. In 1974, he completed his master’s work in biology from Butler University. He worked 11 years (1970 to 1981) for Methodist Hospital’s pathology department as a clinical chemist, assistant supervisor and research-developer. From 1981 to 2008 is founded and CEO of Digital Dynamics, providing software management products to the retail and institutional pharmacy industries. In 2008, Steve sold Digital Dynamics and worked briefly for the acquirers. Between 2011 and 2013, Steve served as the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Golf Solutions. Steve received what seemed a miraculous cure from a nagging back-aches that had plagued him for 25 years from Sharon Sauer. Steve became so impressed, he wanted to dedicate the rest of his life, helping people rid their lives from pain. February 2014, Steve graduated from Sharon Sauer's MYO Seminar’s Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy seminar.

July 2014, Steve passed the Certification Board Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist's exam, scoring the nation's highest score, and thus became the third in Indiana to nationally certify as a CMTPT # R7140093.

During the same year, he also received additional trigger point therapy training from Myopain Seminars founded by Jan Dommerholt's, PhD/PT and Robert Gerwin, MD., the instructors were: Stew Wild, Katie Plummer Adams.

In 2015, he received certified training in Myofascial Acoustic Compression Therapy.

July 2016, he received the Diploma of Medical & Sports Massage from the Indiana College of Sports & Medical Massage (Now Indiana Wellness College) with honors.

In the last few years, Steve has continued expanding his expertise by attending seminars led by Tasso Spanos, Cathy Cohen, Venessa Howe, Shannon Goossen, Terry Zumwalt, Jonathon Kuttner MD, Mary Biancalana, Charles (Chuck) Duff, et.al.. He is a member of the AMTA, and past member of National Association of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists and currently a member of the International Myopain Society.

Today, Steve is only triple Certified Trigger Point Therapist in the USA.
